Program details

Nature is God’s most beautiful creation. It felicitates the growth, development and nourishment of all its creatures. Under the “GO GREEN” initiative, a “TREE PLANTATION DRIVE” was organized at “Nagpur” in association with The Mokhare College. The campaign’s main aim was to direct youth’s mind in constructive activities with the positive outcome through the facilitation of contributing to the nature while securing the society.
Our program was supported by NMC, who share various saplings including Ashoka, Neem, Belpatra, Saptparni, Kadamb and Kachnaar. The youth of Veracity Foundation & the Mokhare College voluntarily participated in the drive enthusiastically and helped each other in planting the saplings. All the saplings were planted in the area of Bhamti, Trimurtinagar Nagpur. The Volunteers along with the Trainers also took an oath to look after the planted saplings, plant more and more trees and encourage others to do the same. Some of the girls also shared their experiences and shared their joy with others.
Such little steps taken together by our organization with the active and participation of youths will surely help in fostering strong mental and social health amongst today’s youths so that they connect with their peers, their elders, their community and their environment.
Slogan of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: “One step towards cleanliness”.
The campaign aims to achieve the vision of a ‘Clean India’. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India.
It served as a great initiative in making people aware of the importance of cleanliness. By eradicating open defecation, improving solid waste management and making the citizens aware of the importance of cleanliness.
Cleanliness and national development go hand in hand. Cleanliness is the hallmark of national development. The more a nation is developed, the more it is clean. Several challenges still need to be faced to achieve a “Swachh Bharat”. The massive task is to include people who still lack toilets, overcome partial toilet use, and retrofit toilets which are not yet sustainably safe. “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” is a great start to make India cleaner and greener.
As we observed most of the youth and children are very casual on throwing waste papers on the road, in the social area like gardens. This campaign definitely helped in understanding the importance of correct habits to avoid adding litter everywhere. For this noble cause, participation of girls was noticeable, though volunteers from college youth were there including children.
We identified the common places like public gardens; Bus stands   where usually there will be litter at every corner. Our volunteers collected the leaf garbage, plastic bags, snacks wrappers and dumped into the dust bin provided by NMC. Volunteers enthusiastically participated in the activity and enjoyed the after effects of clean surrounding.
